Hello! I'm Kim Mancuso, a DONA International Certified Birth Doula in Yardley, PA.  I serve birthing parents in the Central New Jersey and Bucks County, PA area.

Congratulations, you are probably reading this because you are preparing to welcome a new baby! I am excited and passionate about being a supportive and encouraging guide on the path of pregnancy, labor, and birth.

I believe birth is sacred and powerful, and I honor the ideal birth experience you wish to have. I am deeply committed to enabling new parents to feel empowered, prepared and well supported as they experience birth and step into parenthood.  A parent's memories of their birth experience last a lifetime and can have a significant impact on self-esteem and confidence.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists stated in 2014, “... one of the most effective tools to improve labor and delivery outcomes is the continuous presence of support personnel, such as a doula."

When a doula is part of a family's birth team, they can*: 

 

• shorten labor by 25%

• decrease requests for an epidural by 60%

• decrease the likelihood Cesarean section by 50%

• decrease the need for use of Pitocin by 40%

• increase overall families' positive feelings about the childbirth experience
